Sony VAIO P Series VPC-P111KX/G – Stylish but expensive
Sony VAIO P Series VPC-P111KX/G is a very stylish looking laptop and it is made for fashion enthusiasts who can pay more money just to grab the limelight. The design is really eye catching and it will certainly grab a lot of stares when you flaunt this laptop in the local coffee shop. But I was disappointed to see that the battery life of this laptop is really small considering the small design. Small laptops are made for travel purposes and hence you expect the battery life to be big. Navigation too is a bit difficult here. Finally, the expensive price tag will definitely make a hole in your pocket. Sony VAIO P Series VPC-P111KX/G comes with a Webcam and it is placed on the sides of the display. There are some neat features here like accelerometer which automatically changes  [...]

Sony Vaio TZ 150N – Light And Slim
Sony Vaio TZ 150N – Light And Slim
The Sony Vaio TZ 150N is an enormously light and slim system and comes loaded with built-in integrated WWAN; and in its immensely head turning design, the system somehow manages to fit in DVD burner. Most importantly the system delivers superb battery life. The Sony Vaio TZ 150N suffers from sluggish performance; it’s a bit expensive and at the same time has limited configuration options. Also the bloatware of the system clutters the hard drive. The first thing that strikes about the Sony Vaio TZ 150N is the fact that the system is almost unfeasibly slim; the body of the 150N hardly measures an inch thick. Though, adding the additional battery to the system raises the rear end of the system a bit and makes it 1.17 inch thick. But despite all this, it  [...]

Sony Vaio EA24FM/W – Eye-Catching Feature-Packed Laptop
Sony Vaio EA24FM/W – Eye-Catching Feature-Packed Laptop
The Sony Vaio EA24FM/W, we are talking about here belongs to Sony’s midrange Vaio E line; we reviewed back in the spring. Like its entire lineup, this system also comes with a decent blend of solid design, an extremely comfortable keyboard, Core i3 processor, and touch pad. Sony recently updated the E series for including wide range of screen sizes and newer features such as Intel Wireless Display. The all new 14-inch Vaio EA 24FM/W belongs to that very line and it is a fixed retail configuration which includes Blu-ray, Intel Wireless Display connectivity and a Core i3 processor. On top of everything, the system is affordably priced at $799. Loaded with a wide range of ports and with a solid feel, this strong laptop with an affordable price tag only has one Achilles heel: its mediocre  [...]

Sony VAIO W Series VPC-W111XX/W – An Attempt To Develop A Premium-Priced Netbook
Sony VAIO W Series VPC-W111XX/W – An Attempt To Develop A Premium-Priced Netbook
Sony forayed into the world of Atom-powered laptops with its Vaio P-series Lifestyle PC, which has an exceptional miniaturized design (it was almost like the size of a business envelope). But the system disadvantaged by its input and by the use of Windows Vista as its OS. At the time of launch of Vaio P-series, Sony was pretty much adamant that even though it has a small size and has got the Atom processor, it clearly is not a Netbook. On the other hand the new Vaio W clearly is a Netbook with 10 inch display, Windows XP as its OS and a familiar Netbook form factor. Though, the $499 price is a real shocker here, especially because the component used in the system are pretty much the same what you gets in a $299-$399 Netbook. Sony is expecting the VAIO W Series VPC-W111XX/W to get into  [...]

Sony Vaio VGN-NW240F – Well Designed Conventional Notebook
Sony Vaio VGN-NW240F – Well Designed Conventional Notebook
The Sony Vaio VGN-NW240F clearly is a pleasing system and it gets clear with the every first look on the system. Everything about the system is pretty pleasing, and unlike its shelf-mates with their plastic body giving them cheap look, the Sony Vaio VGN-NW240F feels and looks good. The textured plastic chassis of the system protects the system from picking fingerprints. Apart from designing the configuration for the system is also pretty impressive, at least for the common office and home use, even the port set for the system is more than the basic port. Considering the price and the configuration that you are getting for that, this system can be pricey for some, but Sony is something that we never considered overpriced. On a whole the Sony Vaio VGN-NW240F could be said as a mainstream notebook  [...]
