Asus U46E-BAL6 – Great 14 inch laptop
These are the days of Ultrabooks and thin laptops and hence we aren’t really surprised when we see a thin laptop ending up in our offices for reviewing. The word ‘thin’ relates to two kinds of laptops now – the razor thin Ultrabooks or the full size laptops which aren’t really slim. I got the Asus U46E-BAL6 in my offices which is a normal sized laptop but has a pleasingly compact design. It is a 14 inches full fledged laptop just like Dell XPS 14z and there is an optical drive too. This notebook is a tad thicker than the Apple MacBook Pro.
Asus U46E-BAL6 belongs to a family of thin laptops and it still has a lot of power under the hood. You get Core i7 dual core processor, 8 GB of RAM, and 750 GB hard drive. The cost of this notebook is $829 and it seems good value for money considering [...]

The first laptop entering the market next month will be the Asus N75SF. The Asus N75SF will be a 17.2 in laptop and hence carrying the laptop below your arm won’t be all that easy, but if you are looking for something that can fulfill your requirement of watching movies, playing games and things like that then the Asus N75SF certainly is what you should be getting.
The Asus N75SF is a fresh looking machine and measures a huge 17.3 in with an aspect ratio of 16:9 HD+ having native resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels or the complete HD LED Back light video display having 1920 x 1080 pixels of native [...]

Asus K53E-B1 – Excellent battery life
Asus K53E-B1 is a fixed configuration laptop having 640 GB hard disk, Intel Core i5-2520M processor, and 6 gigs of RAM. The cost of this laptop is $770 and it is gives great value for money. This notebook has Intel’s current generation of the Core i-series processors which were codenamed Sandy Bridge originally and these chips have become mainstream quickly. You can see them on every new Intel notebook now. A lot of early Sandy Bridge laptops were expensive, going past the $1000 barrier but now they are affordable.
In my lab tests, the Asus K53E-B1 was behind the Dell XPS 15 and Apple MacBook Pro 15 inch both of which come with faster Intel processors but the Asus laptop was faster than Lenovo ThinkPad X220 which has same CPU, slower hard drive and less RAM.
The [...]

Asus Seashell Netbook Eee PC 1001P Review
The Asus Seashell Netbook, the 1001P comes from the Eee PC line of netbooks from Asus, which has always been on the forefront of Netbook development. This becomes pretty apparent from the fact that Asus was the one who invented this segment and in fact dominated this segment for some years. But recently many of the other manufacturers have forayed into this Netbook segment and have dethroned Asus. The reason behind this is the absence of a basic model that comes under $299. Most of company’s models are above $350.
But now Asus seems to understand the market requirement better than before and hence the latest Asus Seashell Netbook [...]

Asus Eee PC 1015PEM-PU17 – Nothing Drastically New, But Still Nice
Since the Atom N450 processor debuted in the starting of 2010, not much has changed in Netbooks, and that is the reason why the appearance of dual-core Atom Netbook is worth some interest. The single-core Netbooks have never been stunning in performance like the full-size laptops, especially in multitasking. The dual-core Atom N550 CPU fitted in the Asus Eee PC 1015PEM offers decent performance improvements without causing any sort of extra pull on your wallet and on the battery life of the system; this system configuration costs around $40 more than the otherwise identical Asus Eee PC 1015PED single-core system having an Atom N455 CPU.
This affordable CPU configuration here might be slower than the conventional 11.6-inch Netbooks running on AMD Athlon Neo dual-core CPU, but it gives the [...]

Asus Eee PC Seashell 1015PED – Standard 10 Inch Netbook
The Asus Eee PC Seashell 1015PED belongs to the Asus’ Eee PC Netbook lineup, which has branched out into a sometimes deadening choice of options in the systems. But if you dissect these systems you find that most of them have almost the same components. So what we are trying to say here is that the Asus Eee PC 1015PED priced at $329, comes with all the same components that we’ve seen earlier in Asus’s Eee PC Netbook lineup such as a single-core Atom N455 CPU, a 250GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM, and has the same extended battery life that we expected from it.
Though, the system lacks the bells and whistles, which we’ve seen earlier in the premium Netbooks, including the higher-resolution displays, HD accelerated graphics through Nvidia or Broadcom Ion solutions and HDMI-out. In addition, [...]

Asus N82JV-X1 – Graphics-Boosted 14 Inch
Laptops nowadays are cheaper than ever before, and that is the reason behind the change how we identify computer value. One of the finest example of this is the Asus N82Jv-X1 that we are reviewing here, the Asus N82Jv-X1 comes automatic-switching Nvidia GeForce GT 335M graphics and Intel Core i5 processor for $999, but in modern market that doesn’t feels like a decent deal.
The price tag of $999 reflects the high-end mainstream retail market of modern times. Though, getting this level of graphics power at that price isn’t bad at all, but the uninteresting design, absence of some other features such as Blu-ray or Intel Wireless Display, and deprived battery life suggests that you easily could do better.
Also, though the system is been marketed as a “media notebook” by Asus, but [...]

Asus Eee PC 1215N – A Impressive Package Overall
The Asus Eee PC 1215N comes as a solution to the problems like the slowing down of single-core Atom Netbooks, and the need of an imposing power-saving CPU. The Eee PC 1215N also is one of the very first premium ultra-portable/Netbook to have come across us, having dual-core D525 edition of Atom. Though, we’ve seen a couple of previous systems having an older dual-core Nettop/desktop edition of the Atom.
Priced at $499, the Asus Eee PC 1215N comes loaded with a lot of features that we always wanted from an existing ultra-portable. The system comes with Nvidia Ion graphics having with Nvidia's Optimus graphics switching, a high-resolution 12-inch display, and, most notably, a dual-core CPU.
In real world, the Eee PC 1215N is an imposing step up from the conventional $300-$400 Netbooks, [...]

Asus Launches Its “Executive” Notebook
The Eee PC netbook line from Asus already was appealing enough to turn few heads. But now Asus has made its Eee PC netbook line even more sexually appealing and has added USB 3.0, a metal-look casing, Bluetooth 3.0, a complete version of Windows 7, a fingerprint reader and the most recent in Atom chippery.
Offering so many features for Notebooks makes it pretty clear that the Sales of Asus Eee PC was on decline. Though there still is no sign on whether or not the Eee PC 1018P will debut outside of Japan. The Japanese markets have always been conducive to small laptops and have always favored portability and performance.
The Asus Eee PC 1018P comes loaded with 2GB memory, a 1.83GHz Atom N475 CPU, a 320GB hard drive which comes with installed version of Windows 7 Home Premium in a 32 bit [...]

Asus K50IJ-BBZ5 – Attractive Budget Laptop
The Asus K50IJ-BBZ5 is almost the cheapest dual-core laptop you will get in the market. Priced at $529, the system is around $180 more priced than the prominent single-core laptops for example the Toshiba Satellite C665-S5049 and the Compaq CQ62-215DX. The system is the part of 2010 retail laptops and hence you’ll see it sharing the shelf with the HP G62-225DX and the Dell Inspiron iM501R-1212PBL in the retail stores. The Dell Inspiron iM501R-1212PBL and the HP G62-225DX are the two similarly priced 15.6-inch laptops.
Out of the three aforementioned laptops, we prefer the Asus K501J the most, and the reason being its solid construction and viable performance. The system weighs a tad more than the HP G62, but the extra heft of the system gives it the feel of quality, ruggedness and durability. [...]
