Acer Iconia W500 debuts with Windows 7, Fusion for $550

Acer has launched the all-new Iconia W500 that features a Windows 7 Home Premium and 1GHz AMD C-50 Ontario CPU and Android 3.0. The on-die Radeon 6250 handles the graphics which is not fit for much besides light multimedia consumption and office tasks. The Iconia W500 is a 10.1 inch Windows Slate developed and designed for solving the issues of tablet form factor. It comes with extensive list of exquisite features and components which include 1280 x 800 LED backlit 10.1 inch multiouch screen, built in microphone for conference calls, 2GB DDR3 RAM, two 1280 x 1024 webcams and 32GB SSD.

Some of the connectivity options on Iconia W500 are 2-in-1 card reader, Bluetooth, dual 2.0 USB ports, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, high definition media output and 10/100 Ethernet port. With this Ethernet port, you can get a more reliable and faster connection to the web as compared to Wi-Fi. As compared to iPad and other tablets in the market, the Iconia W500 comes with physical USB keyboard supporting a laptop-style touchstick.
